26 February 2024

Days out, great eats and event ideas.

This Mother's Day - Sunday 10 March - there are a variety of ways you can show you care. Whether you're looking to treat your mum to a meal out, indulge and unwind with a spa day, explore a local heritage site or head out for a scenic countryside stroll, there are plenty of fantastic things to do in Preston.

Days out

Samlesbury Hall exterior

Preston has an amazing selection of venues that cater perfectly for Mother's Day, these include the old stately home Samlesbury Hall and the grand Hoghton Tower. Or, why not opt for a walk in the great outdoors to welcome Spring and get the whole family out in the fresh air.

Avenham and Miller Parks is one of Preston's most popular attractions and adds interest and luxury to a day outdoors, with its Japanese Gardens and numerous Victorian features. Thanks to the central location of the parks, a visit here can also be accompanied with a drink or meal at one of the city's cafes and restaurants

The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre is an ideal indoor option for Mother's Day. This flower-themed entertainment centre not only has a number of eateries to choose from, inside you will also find a cinema, curling, crazy golf, and bowling - all with an added pinch of luxury. And, if your mum is an avid gardener, the Barton Grange Garden Centre sits just opposite.

Or, if you're looking to truly pamper your mum, then why not indulge in a relaxing spa experience to unwind, refresh and recharge.
