What could be a more perfect way to say 'thank you, mum' than an indulgent afternoon tea in a timeless country house? Bartle Hall's afternoon tea includes a glass of pink prosecco and live music from the baby grand piano.
Mother's Day Afternoon Tea - Dobbies Garden Centre
Date: Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 March
Time: various times between 2pm and 3:30pm
Cost: £25 per person
Enjoy three tiers of delicious savoury and sweet treats, including a glass of fizz plus unlimited tea and coffee refills at Dobbies. They also offer a children's afternoon tea option, so the whole family can get involved.
Mother's Day Cream Tea or Coffee and Cake - Ribble Steam Railway
Date: Sunday 10 March
Time: 11am and 12:30pm
Celebrate Mother's Day aboard a vintage steam train with cream tea or coffee and cake in a historic restored Great Eastern Railway Royal Saloon, built in 1898. The carriage was specifically built for the the Princess of Wales, Alexandra, wife of the future King Edward VII.
