Winckley Square Gardens

Just a stone's throw away from Preston's main high-street, Winckley Square Gardens make a peaceful retreat, whatever the weather.

The park is a harmonious blend of modern and Georgian features - a beautiful green space surrounded by period architecture. There are also Victorian additions to the park, including the Sir Robert Peel statue which welcomes you at one of the park's seven entrances.

Enjoy some quiet reflection amongst the trees, take a picnic, or even grab something tasty from one of the many cafés and coffee shops nearby. The serene Green Flag awarded park makes the ideal spot for a catch up with friends or an explore with the little ones. There's even the option to delve further into Preston's park scene, with Avenham and Miller Parks just a short stroll away.

When visiting Winckley Square Gardens you'll find seating areas and open green spaces for relaxing and watching the world go by. If you visit in the winter or in the evening, you can admire the park lit by ground lights along its many footpaths.
