John Bailey presents Jazz at Chew's Yard
Join Chew's Yard as UK jazz guitarist John Bailey presents some of the finest Jazz musicians in the UK, paying homage to the jazz greats.
From 3pm, in The Joinery, Chew's Yard's event space, John Bailey (Guitar) alongside Munch Manship (Sax), Gary Culshaw (Bass) and Caroline Boden (Drums) pay a tribute to Sonny Rollins.
John has been working as a guitarist for singer Russell Watson and Aled Jones as well as other renowned artists. John teaches jazz and composition at LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) and teaches guitar at The University of Liverpool.
He also writes for film and TV individually and in partnership with renowned film composer Mike Moran on behalf of Chelsea Pictures. He recently performed music from the CODA soundtrack with Emilia Jones as part of her CODA promotional screenings for the Academy Awards, BAFTAs and Oscars.
He played guitar for several weeks on Sting's The Last Ship and featured on television programmes performing including Jane McDonald and Songs of Praise. John has performed with English mezzo soprano Laura Wright at corporate events and at Lytham Festival's classical proms.
This is set to be a very memorable Sunday afternoon, join us for tasty food and drink and an afternoon of live jazz.
