Dave Gardner in the Conti Snug
A fantastic free entry show in the Conti Snug
Dave Gardner - Tales of the Road & The Wilderness.
In 1993, Preston-based songwriter and musician Dave Gardner was plucked from obscurity to sharing the stage with American songwriter and actor Kris Kristofferson.
With no management or agent representation - Kris signed off on Dave and then they went on tour sharing the stage and the bus and the experience.
Following the tour Dave then went on to play with The Kinks on their 1993/94 final tour and Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. After the release of his debut album, 'Empty Dreams' which was produced by Michael Chapman and a lifelong friendship between them followed.
Dave fronts The Hellfire Preachers and this is his first solo acoustic performance for nearly 25 years.
His debut album has generated another wave of interest following streaming on Spotify and Apple Music and Dave is writing a book centred on the Kris Kristofferson tour - Tales of the Road & The Wilderness will be published in Spring 2025.
This evening will be a night of original songs and stories and readings from the upcoming book.
Doors open at 7:30pm for an 8pm show start. Space is limited in the Snug so please arrive early if you'd like a seat - first come, first served.
