Showcasing an attractive open landscape, with a fine colonnade of trees, Ashton Park boasts small woodlands, flower displays, and a peace garden. These assets, and more, are what have given the park its well-deserved Green Flag Award every year since 2011.

Dogs in parks

Well-behaved dogs are welcome in Ashton Park. Please keep dogs under control and take care when passing other visitors with dogs. Dogs should be kept on a lead when necessary and must not enter the children's play area, bowling greens, tennis courts or football pitches where activities are taking place. Please clean up after your pet.

Parking

Parking is available on-site and is accessible via Pedders Lane.

Disabled access

Ashton Park is a large open space with mainly flat surfaces and well-maintained paths for wheelchair users. With parking on-site, access into the park is nearby. You will also find disabled toilets in the Ashton bowls pavilion during bowling season.

Get Involved

The Friends of Ashton Park were established in 2002 and work in partnership with the Park Ranger and Preston City Council. They play a major role in the organisation of community events, contribute to management decisions and help raise funding for improvements and facilities.
